Dog Parks –
Curry Creek Preserve – 1075 Albee Farm Road.
Leashed dogs are ONLY allowed on the Albee Farm Road parcel and there are no restrooms. Most of the trails are primitive and rated easy. The trails are unpaved but accessible for most visitors. Water, sun block, insect repellant, a rain jacket and sturdy shoes are recommended for hiking. Some trails may be flooded during the summer months and after extended periods of heavy rainfall.
Sleeping Turtles Preserve North – 3462 Border Road.
The preserve is split by Border Road, with a parking area and leashed pet access located on the north side of the road. The trails are unpaved with some flooding after heavy rainfall and several may be wet where they intersect creeks. There are observation areas, a picnic shelter, park benches and portable restroom with plans to install a climbing boulder playground, picnic pavilion, permanent restroom facilities and expanded parking.
Woodmere Paw Park South – 3951 Woodmere Park Blvd.
Daily dawn-dusk Fenced, double-gated entry, trees, benches, tables, disposal bags, trash cans, parking, restrooms, water, double-gated section for small dogs near the front gate, dog shower, community bulletin board. There were drinking bowls that filled up automatically throughout the park.
Dog Beaches –
Brohard Paw Beach – 1600 Harbor Drive South.
Dog Park, Play Area & Service Club Park. Dogs are allowed on the designated portion of beach from 7 AM to dusk only. There are no lifeguards at this location. There is a shaded, fenced area for doggie play and gated small dog location. Dog showers, drinking fountains and waste sacks are available.
A fishing pier, picnic tables and grills are at neighboring Service Club Park. This “leashed” dog-friendly park can be entered from the dog compound to paved walkways, a covered pavilion, benches, children’s play ground, showers, restrooms and more parking.
